OLUDENIZ
It is only 10 minutes in total to get to the beach at Oludeniz with its world famous ‘Blue Lagoon’. Literally translated as meaning ‘Dead sea’ but, in the sense of dead meaning calm the sheltered waters of this natural lagoon provide gently shelving beaches which are excellent for young children. The lagoon is a national park and as such a snorkel and mask is essential to truly appreciate the colourful marine life of this beautiful lagoon.
Oludeniz also has another beautiful sweeping, curved beach called Belgekiz beach. This stretches across the front of the main resort of Oludeniz and is lined with a range of great beach bars, excellent restaurants and shops.
Oludeniz has an extremely laid back and chilled out atmosphere offering the opportunity to watch the sun set over the sea whilst enjoying a drink in one of the beach front bars. Some have open roof terraces where you can also enjoy the unique spectacle of watching the sun set as paragliders float gently down from the summit of Mt Babadag (6500ft), circling above your head before landing gently on the beach/promenade in front of you.

Oludeniz is home to a number of professional paragliding companies. If you want to try something a little different on holiday then why not try a tandem paragliding flight from the top of Mt Babadag with a qualified pilot. This once in a lifetime experience is not to be missed!
The area is a mecca for paragliders from across the globe giving it a very cosmopolitan feel. If you are a qualified pilot and have brought your own glider you can also book transport to the top of the mountain with many of these companies. If you require further information regarding this then please do not hesitate to contact us.
For the last 6 years the area has held an international air festival featuring free fall, base jumping, paragliding acrobatic and cross country competitions, hot air ballooning as well as an acrobatic show by the Turkish Airforce’s Jets Acro Team.
A wide range of watersports are available on the beach including the airboat (a cross between a boat and a microlight that has to be seen to be believed). Last year also saw the opening of a brand new bowling alley. This chilled out resort provides and caters for a range of people but, provides something a little different at the same time.
